26 and 7 bones

An arts project about hands and feet, people and place,
along the Jurassic Coast as part of Earth Festival 2012

Working along the Jurassic seaboard, we are collaborating with people who use their hands (27 bones) and/or feet (26 bones) to work, navigate or investigate the Dorset coast.

Through walking, research, conversation, skill exchange and both a physical and metaphorical approach to engaging with the landscape, we will discover and articulate the conjunctions and exchanges between the physical body and the landscape – the ‘and’ of the hand.

The project – an action, a journey, a collection – grows and unfolds over time with a live public event in May 2012, as part of Earth Festival 2012.
