As part of the 26 and 7 bones event at the Salt House, we created an audio piece (playing on headphones for one audience member at a time), alongside a collection of photographs by Dave Chown, one of the project participants, a bird surveyor and ornithologist. Dave walks one section of Chesil Beach as part of an annual survey counting dead sea birds.
Sue walked a short section of the Chesil by Abbotsbury in conversation with Dave about the way he works with his hands and feet on January 29th 2012 and recorded the dialogue. Dave’s bird survey took place on March 2nd 2012. He took photographs on the walk, particularly along the strand line, as he thought they might be of interest to us. We have combined the ‘audio walk’ with some of the photographs for documentation.
